A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

By Josh Fritz. This past weekend, there were a slew of art and photo shows, but only a handful of them were recent graduates from Savannah College of Art and Design. In Atlantic Station, taking over the former location of Chaplins, Jennifer Hope Jacoby had her first photo show. Ten photos adorned the walls, each of them had a phone number beneath them and a stop number included. When one dialed the number and entered the stop number, the subject of the picture spoke a thousand words about themselves.

Atlanta Braves Return to Disney World for Spring Training

The Atlanta Braves return for Spring Training at 9,500-seat Champion Stadium in Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in February 2009 to once again compete in the “Grapefruit League” against the likes of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies. Disney World has been the home of Atlanta Braves Spring Training since 1997. Last year, the Braves drew 138,811 spectators during the 16 games, a total that ranked second only to the New York Yankees among the 18 Major League Baseball teams that train in Florida as part of the Grapefruit League.

She will be performing on March 3, 2009 at New Orleans Arena in Los Angeles and then will continue to head up to Atlanta, Georgia for another live concert taking place at Philips Arena on March 5, 2009.
Despite previous report saying that Allstate Arena’s show would be held on March 30, 2009, it is revealed that the gig will take place on April 28, 2009.

Two of the world’s greatest musicians, songwriters and entertainers are back on tour! Elton John & Billy Joel’s Face 2 Face tour, named the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history, is reuniting this March for a series of shows through 2009 and 2010.

The two piano men first toured together in 1994, and then again in 2003, where they saw a string of 24-dates sell out immediately. With a mutual admiration for each other, it’s clear to see why these two legends are able to share the stage.
